CLOUD COMPUTING: A CONCEPT OF NEW ERA FOR DATA SCIENCE

Cloud Computing is the most interesting and evolving topic in computing in the recent decade. The concept of storing data or accessing software from another computer that you are not aware of seems to be confusing to many users. Most the people/organizations that use cloud computing on their daily basis claim that they do not understand the subject of cloud computing. But the concept of cloud computing is not as confusing as it sounds. Cloud Computing is a type of service where the computer resources are sent over a network. In simple words, the concept of cloud computing can be compared to the electricity supply that we daily use. We do not have to bother how the electricity is made and transported to our houses or we do not have to worry from where the electricity is coming from, all we do is just use it. The ideology behind the cloud computing is also the same: People/organizations can simply use it. This concept is a huge and major development of the decade in computing.
Cloud computing is a service that is provided to the user who can sit in one location and remotely access the data or software or program applications from another location. Usually, this process is done with the use of a web browser over a network i.e., in most cases over the internet. Nowadays browsers and the internet are easily usable on almost all the devices that people are using these days. If the user wants to access a file in his device and does not have the necessary software to access that file, then the user would take the help of cloud computing to access that file with the help of the internet.
Cloud computing provide over hundreds and thousands of services and one of the most used services of cloud computing is the cloud storage. All these services are accessible to the public throughout the globe and they do not require to have the software on their devices. The general public can access and utilize these services from the cloud with the help of the internet. These services will be free to an extent and then later the users will be billed for further usage. Few of the well-known cloud services that are drop box, Sugar Sync, Amazon Cloud Drive, Google Docs etc.
Finally, that the use of cloud services is not guaranteed let it be because of the technical problems or because the services go out of business. The example they have used is about the Mega upload, a service that was banned and closed by the government of U.S and the FBI for their illegal file sharing allegations. And due to this, they had to delete all the files in their storage and due to which the customers cannot get their files back from the storage.
Service Models Cloud Software as a Service Use the provider's applications running on a cloud infrastructure Accessible from various client devices through thin client interface such as a web browser Consumer does not manage or control the underlying cloud infrastructure including network, servers, operating systems, storage
Google Apps, Microsoft Office 365, Petrosoft, Onlive, GT Nexus, Marketo, Casengo, TradeCard, Rally Software, Salesforce, ExactTarget and CallidusCloud
Cloud Platform as a Service Cloud providers deliver a computing platform, typically including operating system, programming language execution environment, database, and web server Application developers can develop and run their software solutions on a cloud platform without the cost and complexity of buying and managing the underlying hardware and software layers
AWS Elastic Beanstalk, Cloud Foundry, Heroku, Force.com, Engine Yard, Mendix, OpenShift, Google App Engine, AppScale, Windows Azure Cloud Services, OrangeScape and Jelastic.
Cloud Infrastructure as a Service Cloud provider offers processing, storage, networks, and other fundamental computing resources Consumer is able to deploy and run arbitrary software, which can include operating systems and applications Amazon EC2, Google Compute Engine, HP Cloud, Joyent, Linode, NaviSite, Rackspace, Windows Azure, ReadySpace Cloud Services, and Internap Agile
Deployment Models Private Cloud: Cloud infrastructure is operated solely for an organization Community Cloud : Shared by several organizations and supports a specific community that has shared concerns Public Cloud: Cloud infrastructure is made available to the general public Hybrid Cloud: Cloud infrastructure is a composition of two or more clouds
Advantages of Cloud Computing • Improved performance • Better performance for large programs • Unlimited storage capacity and computing power • Reduced software costs • Universal document access • Just computer with internet connection is required • Instant software updates • No need to pay for or download an upgrade
Disadvantages of Cloud Computing • Requires a constant Internet connection • Does not work well with low-speed connections • Even with a fast connection, web-based applications can sometimes be slower than accessing a similar software program on your desktop PC • Everything about the program, from the interface to the current document, has to be sent back and forth from your computer to the computers in the cloud

GOOGLE CLOUD VS JELASTIC FOR CLOUD COMPUTING
New Post has been published on https://www.createregister.com/google-cloud-vs-jelastic-cloud-computing/
GOOGLE CLOUD VS JELASTIC FOR CLOUD COMPUTING
For what it’s worth, Google Cloud is a good product for cloud computing that has been around for a while. But it’s obvious that Jelastic is more efficient product or else, why is Jelastic which is relatively new in the market making so many waves? If Google Cloud and other PaaS solutions that existed before Jelastic were able to meet all the needs of a developer, then perhaps, Jelastic would just be making up the number. But we can all see that Jelastic is such a special cloud solution.
Right now, so many developers have already abandoned Google Cloud for Jelastic. In case you are not yet sold to the “awesomeness” of Jelastic, below are some of the reasons you should make up your mind now
Time Management
It is always a pain when you are locked-in because you have to deploy your app with the platform in mind. Thus when using Google App Engine (GAE), you might need to do some relearning which may prompt you to plan for a longer term. This can be a big problem especially when you didn’t code your app with GAE in mind. This can also have a negative effect on the app’s functionality. In fact, the code you write with the GAE platform cannot be ported elsewhere. However everything is much easier with Jelastic, you don’t have to code your app with the platform in mind. This makes Jelastic your best shot if you are concerned about your app’s portability and functionality.
Availability
A major problem with using Google Cloud is that you can only get it from one place, which is Google. The implication is that you have no other place to turn to when there is a drop in service quality or sudden inflation in price. These amongst other things can encourage monopoly. However, you can get Jelastic from more than one provider. In fact there are many companies out there that offer Jelastic as a value added service. A good example of where to get a consistent quality service with Jelastic is createregister.
Customer Support
Google Cloud provides a very limited support for users. Even with their groups, there are still many unanswered questions especially with regards to coding errors. Interestingly, there is no easy way of getting solutions except to dig and comb through various forums which no “serious” developer may have the time for. You don’t expect anything less from a product that is managed by only one agency. On the other hand, the customer service provided by Jelastic is awesome. It is even merrier, when you are dealing with a good service like createregister. You can easily find answers to your problems enabling you to have smooth product integration.
Many expensive “NOs”
Finally, there are just too many expensive “NOs” with using Google App Engine to deploy your app to the cloud. Think about it; no streaming, no serious update, no custom domain, no long term connections, no access to the file system, slow databases and some other setbacks you definitely wouldn’t get if you are using Jelastic.
If by now you are yet to switch over to the better side, am wondering what you are still waiting for.
Please do not hesitant to contact us to get completely FREE support at anytime.

Logentries & New Relic Webinar: How to Create Your Modern DevOps Tool Kit
By Matt Kiernan
Auto-scaling environments, micro-service architectures and globally-distributed teams are just three common examples of why organizations today need automation and interoperability more than ever.
But is interoperability something we simply start doing, or does it require a reexamination of our processes?
And can we really improve our processes without first making interoperability a requirement for how we choose our tools?
Recently, Logentries hosted a webinar with New Relic, exploring how interoperability can be made possible through an intelligently complied DevOps toolkit.
Over the course of the webinar, Logentries co-founder Trevor Parsons joined New Relic Sr. Director of Marketing reviewed today's ecosystem of DevOps tools, discussed the challenges of achieving interoperability and shared specific examples of powerful tool integrations that extend tool functionality and enable true interoperability.

Containers & Microservices Expo To Be Colocated with @DevOpsSummit Silicon Valley, November 3-5, 2015 at the Santa Clara Convention Center, CA
SYS-CON Events announced on June 9, 2015 at the Javits Center that the 2nd "Containers & Microservices Conference" will take place November 3-5, 2015, at the Santa Clara Convention Center, Santa Clara, CA, and the "Third Containers & Microservices Conference" will take place June 7-9, 2016, at Javits Center in New York City.
Containers and microservices have become topics of intense interest throughout the cloud developer and enterprise IT communities.
Microservices focuses on the business and technology of the software architecture design pattern, in which complex applications are composed of small, independent processes communicating with each other using language-agnostic APIs.
Containers are not being considered for the first time by the cloud community, but a current era of re-consideration has pushed them to the top of the cloud agenda.
Rather than just stuff an OS into a container, for example, developers and deployers should consider a spectrum of microservices and what they can do.
New York and Silicon Valley Sponsors and Exhibitors
During our last New York and Silicon Valley events, over 12,000 (audited) delegates registered and participated in the world's largest DevOps, Containers, and Microservices show, colocated with Cloud Expo.
